The yield for this cartridge is estimated based on 5% coverage of 8.5"x11" prints.

The new ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standard for monochrome toner cartridge yield in monochrome laser printers more accurately represents actual user experience by taking into account variations in the performance of the cartridges and of the printers. This standard clearly defines the key attributes that affect toner cartridge yields and applies robust statistical analysis when measuring toner yield so all manufacturers can utilize the same methodology. For example, it uses standard pages and requires toner cartridges available to customers on the open market. Then, that at least nine cartridges are tested on a minimum of three separate printers, in controlled environments, with printer default settings. Canon, Epson, HP, and Lexmark are leading proponents of this industry standard to measure monochrome toner cartridge yields and to help more objectively and accurately evaluate printer toner and print cartridge yield.
