HP Ultrium 800GB WORM Data Cartridge
Third generation HP Ultrium Data Cartridge. Highest storage capacity and best cost per GB of any tape technology.Smoother base film and smaller magnetic particles increase the bit density, allowing more data to be recorded in the same amount of tape. This enables the number of recording tracks to increase from 512 for Ultrium 2 to 706 tracks for Ultrium 3. The new basefilm also enables a longer tape to be packed into the same size cartridge shell, contributing to the increased capacity. At 160MB/sec transfer rate, these ultrium tapes also offer best backup performance. Only 12.5 seconds to backup 1GB of data.

Write-Once, Read-Many (WORM) capability allows to easily integrate a cost-effective solution to secure, manage, and archive compliant data records and meet industry regulations requiring tamper proof records for specific periods of time.Two-tone colored cartridge shell enables 'across the room' or 'in slot' identification of a WORM tape from an RW tape. A continuous testing program in HP's media laboratory guarantees the high levels of quality. HP warrants Ultrium 800GB WORM cartridges for up to 30 years archival life and/or 260 full back ups. HP Ultrium media is qualified for use with HP and non-HP Ultrium products.
