Quantum LTO 3 Ultrium Tape Cartridges fully adhere to LTO required standards ensuring that your data is protected when you use Quantum LTO tapes. Capacity: 400GB native or 800GB compressed (2:1). Transfer Speed: 80MB/second (native), 160MB/second (compressed).

The Ultrium standard is based on the industry's first open data storage platform, LTO Technology. Drive manufacturers HP, IBM, and Quantum developed LTO (Linear Tape-Open) Technology to meet the fast-growing midrange and enterprise storage demands. The result of this collaboration is an exceptionally reliable, high-performance, format with an exciting migration plan that allows consortium drives to work interchangeably with a host of data supplies media brands over time. The Ultrium format is the high-capacity, single-reel implementation, of LTO Technology. It is ideally suited for backup, restore, and archive applications and provides excellent performance and reliability in both stand-alone and automated environments.
