Imation LTO Ultrium 5 tape cartridges combine the advantages of linear, multi-channel, bi-directional formats with enhancements in servo technology, data compression, track layout, and error correction. Imation LTO 5 tapes deliver outstanding performance. Up to 3.0 TB storage capacity with 2:1 compression. Transfer Speed: 280MB/second (compressed). Estimated archival life of 30 years. 20000 Load/Unload cycles.

Manufactured with Imation's proprietary Tera Angstrom™ Technology. Imation's patented corner snap improves cartridge strength by keeping the leader pin in place and the cartridge tightly closed in the event of rough handling. A patented three-piece tape spool aids in tape guidance, distributing stress more evenly over the tape for better performance and longer archival life. A proprietary servo writing process optimizes tape tracking and helps ensure accurate read/write operations. This process enables best-in-class Position Error Signal (PES) performance to minimize servo off-track errors and improve overall transfer rates.
